METAL SPHERE LAMPS

I built these metallic orbs and sold them as part of a fundraiser for Relay for Life. I created one decorative set that could be displayed together or apart, and I created a lamp that casts fantastic shadows on the wall.

I built these orbs out of metallic strutting I found at a hardware store. I used shears to cut the strips, and then I formed them into circles and secured them using bolts and washers. I connected three of these circles to create the circles and added a belt to create the orb form seen in each of these balls. I used metallic spray paint to dapple them and very their color. The lamp was created using a candelabra kit, which was complete with a switch for ease of use.
